English Summary
They cater to each other need. Maria and Janina lives in small apartment. Her parents were anti-Nazi underground activists. They gave shelter to Janina and her mom. Janina’s mother died of tuberculosis. Janina clung to her family when she was young. She baptized to become part of the family in order to survive and also gave up chances to live in United State with an uncle. During Warsaw Uprising,they had to fend themselves as Maria dad was sick at the same time, her mother were fighting against Nazis. Maria seems like a mom to younger Janina as she lost both her parents since young. They both suffered cancer. Janina is separated as well as Maria is divorced. She contacted the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem to recognise them for saving her during world war 1, the money as a reward, which can be used to treated Maria fiancial problem.
